Day 14: Time Won't Fly it's like I'm Paralyzed by it

Today involved a lot of conversations with my mom about coming to Germany, about everything that's happened in the past two years, and everything that will happen in the next 7 months. Sometimes the future gets to be too overwhelming and the past seems to get too overbearing. That's why we are supposed to live in the present and handle things as they come to you. Sometimes you have to address things in your past to move on, but that doesn't mean they have to control you.

Day 13: O Come, O Come Emmanuel

Today is the first Sunday of Advent! To celebrate, I attended mass at the Katholische Kirchengemeinde St. Paulus down the street from where I live. While I definitely have some problems understanding what is being said, I love to be in the atmosphere and to sing along with the choir and see the advent wreath aglow. This brings me to today's photo of an advent wreath booth set up in the middle of town! If I was comfortable enough to light candles in my room (and if I had a place to put it) I would totally own one!

Day 12: Here We've Only got One Rule: Never Ever Let it Cool!

Do you know what I'm talking about? Hot Chocolate of course! This is my absolute favorite drink, and it just so happens that Tübingen has a little cafe that specializes in hot chocolate. I go there to get away from everything and I love it. This will be one thing I will definitely miss when I come home for good. But for now, I'm sure I'll keep up my twice a week routine!
